ATCO Ventures Invests in XQ to Advance Data‑Centric Security for Critical Infrastructure
ATCO Ventures has made a strategic investment in XQ , a U.S.-based security company, reinforcing ATCO’s commitment to delivering essential services that support reliability, security, and resilience in an increasingly complex world. Completed in August 2025, the investment brings together XQ’s data-centric security approach with ATCO’s expertise in delivering infrastructure for mission-critical environments.
As a long-standing electricity and natural gas utility, ATCO also increasingly views data as a utility – an essential service that must be protected, trusted and available wherever operations take place. As organizations operate in distributed, disconnected, and hybrid environments, securing infrastructure alone is no longer sufficient. This investment reflects a shared view that governance must persist with the data itself, independent of where it resides or how it is accessed.
