ATCO Ventures, the investment and venture-building platform of ATCO Ltd., and Pelter, a Poland-based advanced manufacturing and technology company, are exploring potential areas of collaboration related to civilian protection, modular housing, energy systems, and resilient infrastructure.
The discussions are at an exploratory stage and are focused on identifying areas where the organizations’ respective experience, capabilities, and strategic interests may be complementary. Any future collaboration would remain subject to further evaluation, commercial diligence, regulatory considerations, internal approvals, and mutually agreed definitive documentation.
Pelter is engaged in the development of protective infrastructure solutions designed to support civilian protection and resilience initiatives in Poland. As governments and communities continue to place greater emphasis on civil preparedness and resilient infrastructure, Pelter’s work reflects a focus on practical engineering, safety-oriented design, and scalable manufacturing.
ATCO Ventures is exploring how ATCO’s broader experience in modular construction, workforce housing, energy systems, and facility operations may be relevant to emerging needs in civilian protection and resilient infrastructure. These areas align with ATCO’s long-standing focus on safety, reliability, and essential infrastructure.
"Our shared interest in protecting people and supporting resilient communities is what makes these discussions meaningful,” said Kyle Koss, President, ATCO Ventures. “Pelter is doing important work in Poland, and we see potential alignment with ATCO’s values of Safety and Caring. At this stage, we are exploring whether ATCO’s experience in modular housing, facility operations, and infrastructure support could complement Pelter’s capabilities in a way that creates value for both organizations."
ATCO has experience delivering modular and rapidly deployable housing solutions in a range of civilian, industrial, and government-related contexts. ATCO also has experience in facility management, operations, maintenance, and lifecycle support in complex and remote environments. As part of the exploratory discussions, ATCO Ventures and Pelter intend to assess whether these capabilities may support future opportunities in Poland or other markets.
Pelter also emphasized the importance of collaboration and dialogue in advancing civilian protection capabilities.
“Protecting people and strengthening community resilience are central to Pelter’s mission,” said Radoslaw Zygadlo, CEO, Pelter. “Our protective infrastructure solutions are designed to combine safety, practical engineering, and scalable manufacturing. We welcome the opportunity to explore whether Pelter’s capabilities in Poland can complement ATCO’s experience in modular infrastructure, facility operations, and lifecycle support, with a shared focus on civilian preparedness and resilient communities.”
The discussions reflect a shared interest in evaluating opportunities that may align with each organization’s strategic priorities, while also supporting dialogue between Canadian and Polish companies focused on resilience, infrastructure, and civilian protection.
No binding commercial arrangement, joint venture, procurement commitment, or deployment obligation has been entered into at this stage. Further updates may be provided if and when the parties determine that a specific opportunity has advanced beyond the exploratory phase.
